The Daken base is made of COMPLETELY WELDED STEEL. There is no tie rod, no base assembly required. Base and columns are 14"gauge round steel tubing. Daken Series is similar to the Fab Series except for welded fins at bottom of base. Adjustable swivel glides are factory installed
